Blog Post: Day 24

Kale & Pineapple smoothie started this girls day.  Cleansing, refreshing and surprisingly filling.

Lunch was salmon salad wrapped in Red Chard.  I really like the chard as a wrap because it’s so light and crispy, but the leaves are large enough to use as a wrap.  And they’re pretty which adds a nice touch.

Friday night date night we decided to get out and walk the beach.  Weather was gorgeous for a walk and our baby boy was happy to get out and kick around in the water.  After, we decided to go out to eat.  Decisions decisions.  Choices, choices. We hadn’t been out to eat in exactly 24 days.  Which may not seem like a lot to most people, but we had been on a restaurant streak prior to this Challenge.  But, where can we eat that has fresh ingredients, without the added sugar, processed grains and inferior oils and fats.  Ugh.  We narrowed it down to a local place that serves organic, local free range meats, organic produce and homemade ingredients.  I ordered a burger over mixed greens.  It was as uninteresting as it sounds.  No dressing of course, and the burger was overcooked.  First meal out, FAIL.
