Blog Post: Day 22

I’m not gonna lie, I want chocolate.  It will probably be the first non-approved food I eat after this challenge is over.  It’ll be a good quality, high cacao content, dark chocolate, antioxidant rich, but still, chocolate.  Until then, I’ll stick to this diet.  I can honestly say I feel great and my skin is literally glowing! I’ve gotten real compliments on how good my skin looks.  Now that is motivation enough to stay away from the chocolate.  And the breads.  And the cheese.

Today’s breakfast was…you guessed it…eggs! Two fried with some sautéed mushrooms and a side of fresh strawberries.

I was a little hungry when I got to work, but honestly I think I just wanted chocolate.  :) I’ve been slacking on recording my water intake and I think that’s due to forgetting to carry my water bottle, but today I remembered it, so I chugged away.  That took care of the pesky hunger pains that weren’t really hunger pains.

Lunch was a nice surprise courtesy of the hubs.  He made a mixed greens salad with chopped apples, toasted walnuts and a strawberry vinaigrette.  Way to go babe!!

I had a coconut Lara Bar for a snack.  I really needed to satisfy that sweet tooth today.

It was a crazy work day, and all my meals were quick so unfortunately I got no pictures of the fabulousness that went into my body today.

I tried to surprise my hubs with a nice dinner after work.  I made lacinato kale & red chard salad topped with lemon vinaigrette and pumpkin seed cheeze sprinkle with 5 local, wild caught shrimp sautéed in the lemon vinaigrette.  I also poured some ginger kombucha in wine glasses just to fancy it up even more.  Cheers!
